    HDD boot prompt...

    I have a rather simple question here: I have two HDDs in my rig right now. My primary (40gig Western digital w/ Win XP) is recognized in BIOS as "HDD 0". My slave drive (Maxtor 30 gig w/ Win ME) is recognized as "HDD 1".
    Whenever I want to go to the other drive, I have to manually go into BIOS, choose which Boot device to find first (either HDD 0 or HDD 1), and then reboot.
    I'm wondering if there is any way that before either is loaded, a prompt can appear and let me choose between the two, rather than having to enter BIOS and deselect one or the other. If so, how can I enable it??

    i don't know of a way. you should have been able to choose daul boot when you installed windows Xp. Thats what i did. Now ever time i boot it asks me if i want XP or 99se if i don't choose anything it defaults to XP.

    With XP you always boot the first drive - the one setup in your BIOS. The OS bootloader then asks you which OS you want to load. The boot menu is controlled through the boot.ini file. The OS can be located on any drive.
