i touched the top of my card where the gpu is and it literaly burned my finger. should i do something about this heat asap?

i did a little searching around the house and i found a thermal take volano 6cu+. I was thinking of taking the fan off it and attaching it to my case and point it directly on the heatsync of my geforce would this cool it off?

Nah don't worry about it, all GPU cores seem to be literally toasting on the back of the PCB. You could stick the fan in, but it could possibly disrupt the air flow through your case.

Yeah I believe the extra weight would do that, but I havn't had any heat issues....yet. Plus I couldn't stand the constant "werrrrrrrrr" noise whenever my PC was on and I didn't want to buy a new fan.
    Spoiler
