Exclamation Nvidia Pokes Fun at Themselves

    http://www.ganksta.com/ISEF/Web/cooling_fan.wmv

Nvidia really made fun of their FlowFX cooling system on the GeForce FX 5800 Ultra. In the end of the video it says "NVIDIA offers a special thanks to our enthusiasts for their creative ideas." It's supposively a video of what Nvidia was thinking when they developed the FlowFX cooling system and in retrospect, making fun of themselves for the mistake.

You need Windows Media 9 codecs to view it. Go here to download the codecs if you don't have them: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo.../WM9Codecs.exe

Oh yeah, it's a ~9.7MB file so people on narrowband will need to wait a bit.

Wow, am I behind the times . Last month at this time I was up at Cleveland for an Intel event at the Cleveland Convention Center.

    Sorry about the double-post.

    *edit* grammar mistake

Yep, that's me last year at the Galt House at Louisville, KY. They handed out free bats at the Intel ISEF, so I made my best Max Payne impression .

    Do those look like breadsticks?

Oh yeah, to keep this on topic, I hear the NV30's FlowFX was incorrectly engineered. I forgot the details but it had to do with how the fan wasn't mounted right so it caused more noise than necessary, or something like that.
