    Another Digital Camera?

Well right now I own a Olympus c3000-zoom, which is a year or so old and has 3.2 megapixels. I am thinking aobut geting a new one, but want to know if film camera for $400 is better than a digital one for $400. I use my camera mainly for taking pictures at road races and other such events. I sometimes upload them to my website for friends, but I have a pretty good scanner so I am only worried about the hardcopy prints which I find more useful. I dont need a camera with a ton of useless features, just one that will alow me to take sharp pictures, decent zoom, and good focus so that I can get clear shots of the cars even at 150mph .

Technically, yes. A 35mm camera is roughly equivalent to an 11 million pixel digital.

Consumer digitals still have a ways to go before you can get 35mm quality for that price.

For instance, for $400, you can get a Canon Rebel Ti, with lens.

2 things are going to make this better than a digital.

    1. The higher "resolution" of 35mm.
    2. The larger lens elements

That being said, I mostly use my digital
