Will this Hard Drive: http://www.e1micro.com/sa1254hadr.html work with the X-Drive: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2002_...ve-vp2030.html ? Also, do I need the cooling fan, cable and screws that you can buy extra at that website in order for the X-Drive to work??

    Thanks, =^\

    No that won't work.

Go to googlegear and get a 3.5" HD.

The VP-2030 can use any capacity (9.5mm height) 2.5-inch IDE laptop hard disk drive.
3.5" HDD are standard drives you put in desktops. Generally a laptop (or any 2.5" ) drive spins at 4200RPM, 5400/7200+ are desktops.

Actually quite a few 2.5" drives are 5400rpm. Most 40+ gig 2.5" drives come in 5400rpm flavors.

You'll need a 2.5" hard drive, which that one is not. They aren't too hard to find. You can most likely buy them from www.newegg.com
