That's it. I'm pretty happy with how the ring turned out. Took me about 4 hours total to make it from 2 pieces of silver. As for the comp mods, I've always been much more performance than "cool looking" oriented so i really haven't put much effort into making it all look awesome. I just want the thing to work the best it can.

    Naw...i'm too lazy

But hey, thanks for doing it for me

And as you can see, i have cut off the entire front bezel, put on mosquito netting and reinforced the power button thing with a couple of bars of the acrylic of the bezel. Behind that it's almost all cut away also. I have the option of mounting 4 intake fans right there, but they don't do much for temps so I just let there be a gaping hole

Whats that on the Desk to the right of your monitor? Looks like a small puter or stereo?

yeah, it's a stereo. I got my computer hooked up to my stereo. I used to have crappy inspires (i had no money to buy a good system) so I decided to just use my stereo instead. I kept the sub from the inspires to give some more low frequency response. It sounds OK...definitely a million times better than any low end multimedia system.

Lmao the pc sitting on the books reminds me of a redneck with his car up on cinder blocks in the front yard. Nice looking rig though.

I dremeled out those front intake fan slots completely. I didn't do a good job of it, as my case is a POS anyways (looks wise, i don't really care). I just wanted to clean those up and get a little bit of a feel for my new toy.

As for the ring, it took me about 4-5 hours to make. I used a piece of 1/32" silver sheet for the wavy pattern. The inside ring is made out of silver band. Basically, I fabricated the inside ring first into it's final shape. Then I cut out the wave pattern using a hand jigsaw (also referred to as a jeweler's saw). I filed it down a little bit. Then I proceeded to silver solder the wave patter onto the inside ring (using the blowtorch is fun!). Once that was done, I used a dremel to roughly sand the ring. Then I moved on to a fine tooth jeweler's file and finally 1600 grit wet/dry paper. After the sanding was done, I buffed the entire ring using a large buffing machine. Then I oxidised the ring using some chemicals. After that, I went back to the dremel and used the buffing wheel on it to remove the oxidised layer on the topmost wavy ring. Presto - one cool ring done.

I got carpet...so if I don't raise the case, it'd be sucking dust like no other.

it looks like you have plenty of room on your desk so you could put your case on top of your desk instead of the floor, it's easier to work on up there also (atleast for me)

To me atleast, that would look too cluttered. I like the case nearer to the floor. That way it is out of sight, and out of mind.

I could do that, but then I'd lose my work area on the right side of the stereo...I like it the way it is. It doesn't bother me to have to crawl down there on the floor when i'm tweaking.

I like it a lot. I had to look at it from a non-stylish point of view, where it rocks

    BTW, very nice guitar man
All I've got is this crappy Squire that I still need to learn to play, my dad has some hellza guitars though
