reformatting? preparing
thinking of reformatting my drive.
havent done so in 8 weeks or so, runnin low on space and it needs it done.
im running windows home and since i am formatting should i install 2k pro or xp pro.
i hate the icon feature in xp but i dunno.
so far i know to
1) backup favorites
2) save game files
3) use winamp and get all your mp3s in a html document
wut else

I use Win2K mainly because I don't like the setup of XP, but now you can change all that so I wouldn't really care switching. Win2K has been good to me so I'll stick with it.
It's all personal preference, if you don't like the look of XP, then go with Win2K

for games do not forget to save config files also, those can save alot of time
images you may have saved, desktop icons (sometimes you have parameters in them).. that is all I can think of
and for os i would go 2k, but there is really no reason.. just I like it better

XP gets my vote especially if you are into games. It is also more user friendly.
