I can tell a difference between 60 and 75, you dont notice the screen flashing? It get kind of annoying, ecspecially if your in the dark.

Well, maybe i'll give it another go, but since most of you didn't have the problem i have my doubts about it being fixed.
Sorry, I should have read more of your post. I thought you could not get BF1942 to load. The crashing to the desktop glitch happens to me on occasion. It has not happened to me since I installed the BF1942 1.4 patch.

AHH finally! someone with the same issue as me! I have the exact same problem, it gets real annoying too. Also, if you try to change mods while on the custom tab thing, CTD!

It pisses me off. Anyone have a solution?

Maybe it's just my comp. but when I downloaded the multiplayer demo and tried to load an internet game, the damn thing failed to load completely and it just went back to the desktop. I am running Windows 2K with NT technology. Could that be a problem?

I'm trying to free your mind Neo, but I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.
