what exactly is this mysterious SATA power cable/adapter/dongle/thingy that all SATA drives need but none seem to ship with?
My Asus mobo shipped with two SATA channel cables.

its just a power addapter. changes 4 pin molex over to the 15 pin power connector on the sata drives... raptors will take a normal 4 pin molex or the new 15 pin connector.
