Secondary HDD recognized every other time?

For some reason my IBM 6GB HDD is only recognized by the BIOS every other time that it loads. I have the jumpers set to slave, and it's 3rd in the booting order.

It's not that big of a deal, just sort of weird. It never happens with my CD-ROM's.

    Any help?

maybe ome conflict w/ your mainboard. I have a pioneer dvdrom that does the same thing on my asus, but works fine on my abit. Try updating the bios, and even clearing the cmos.

My brother had that problem with his maxtor HD. Apparently after it got slightly warm it worked fine. Such as, if he used the HD for a while and thenr eboote it was always guaranteed to work. I recommend RMAing it.
