"Green With Envy" case is FINALLY done (pics)

ok guys, it's finally finished...i must've started this case abouv 7 months ago, or more....kinda chipped away at it a bit here and there, got really discouraged at one point because i had to repaint the entire top panel. but it's all done now, my friend helped me put the finishing touches on all the wiring for the fan's and lights, and i think it turned out really nice, despite the little chip my friend made in the top panel anyways, here's some pics...the camera isn't the greatest, so bear with me on the dark shots...

Nice work. I'm a VERY critical person (only found 1 or 2 modded cases in my life that I actually like) and I like it - particularly in the dark, with the green lights. Nice case flow, too!

Looks good man, especially the paint, that definately stands out. I really like it. But one question...why all the side fans?

heh, because i wanted them i guess, i wanted a lot of air flow....there's about 250cfm worth of intake on that side, plus another 80 from the front bezel (cut a duct in the plastic where it goes from white to green, so it can actually pull air in), and about 170cfm of exhaust from the top 2 120mm's...i've got all the fans routed to a 5v/12v switch so i can make the thing really quiet if i need to, but even with all 6 120mm's at full bore it's not too bad...kinda a low whoosh sound than a whir.

well, compared to my old case i've dropped my full load temps by 4-5 degrees for the cpu and 2-3 degrees for the system temps

this 8rda has always read high system temps, but my room is also unordinarily warm, especially in the summer...right now i'm running the 120's on the low 5v setting, and i'm sitting 30 case, 42 cpu (running folding and a few other things)

What was your process for painting? It came out beautiful.

I'm not a huge fan of blowholes, but yours are well done.

the painting takes a LOT of time to get it that shiny...i pretty much followed these 2 guides...

    case painting 101 (solid colors)
    case painting 102 (metalflake/pearl colors)

...and it came out really nice. the only gripe i have is that the paint i used (duplicolor automotive) seems to want to chip kinda easily, so i have to be somewhat careful with the panels of this case, it's definately not a LAN traveler, but it's really shiny

Wow, that's one of the coolest mods I've seen in a while. Great job, very professional! Makes me want to try something like that too

VERY NICE, NOTHING BEAT THAT MANY 120MM fans. I wish some of these case compnaies would get a clue and start making cases like that. Antec comes close w/ a couple of their models though (w/ 120mm intake and exhaust).
