Take it easy buddy... the shipping wasn't too high at all. You said yourself $10 is no problem and not too much. So it was a bit more, and your paying $15 for shipping, which is $5 more. I think that isn't that much more than $10 and doesn't warrant any of this. So with $10 you had no problems, with $15 your pissed off and mad? In any case I have sent you another PM.

I would like to publicly apoligize to AMD, the person who started this thread, and Sharkyforums. My actions were not just, I was completely out of line and acted irresponsibly. The package arrived today and was packed very well, a sign of a good trader.

Maybe I didn't set it correctly, but I want some 5.1 speakers for my table DVD player, just for watching movies, not gaming or other PC stuff. Perhaps, some day I'll try them on my PC, but right now I need 5.1 sound for my dvd. I've got a Panasonic RV-60 which has a built-in dolby digital/dts decoder, so I'll buy first the speakers and then I am thinking of an amplifier without decoders.

So, Z-640's remain good for home dvd? Are they loud enough? RMS? I love heavy bass when it remains clear.

Sorry, If I ask again, I haven't heard anything besides 2.1 speakers, so I can't decide on my own.

You'll need an external decoder if you're using a ordinary standalone dvd-player. Does your reciever have 5.1 preouts? Then you can let the reciever do the decoding without have to use the amplifier on it. (use it as a preamp)

My dvd player has gold 5.1 outs, a digital-out, a coaxial out, 2 scarts etc.. Also, as I said, it can do dolby digital/dts decoding, so can I use Z-640 speakers without using an amplifier? When you say reciever what do you mean?

    Thx for your help.

Since your DVD player has decoding, the Z640's will work perfectly with it. Nothing else needed.
