    Xcom UFO Defence

    Oh the joy the joy.

I found a hack that lets me play my old XCOM on windows XP.

Once again I can watch friends and family shoot each other in the back of the head by accident. disect aliens and basically have a shitload of fun. God I love XCOM.

Doesn't it play like is's on speed or something? I tried playing Enemy Unknown but days shot by in a couple of seconds meaning I couldn't do anything ... by the time I clicked OK after a UFO sighting it had vanished

They used the letters XP for a reason - they're mocking you.

That aws one of the of the most fun games I played 'back in the day'. I wish they had made some worthy sequels or even have something similar out now. When I beat the game, I remember just making 3 guys basically unstoppable. Too much fun!

Now if only I knew where I stored the disks!

More games should let you rename EVERYONE, theres nothing better than watching one friend blast another friend in the back of the head on a reaction shot.

I forgot how hard some of the higher difficulty settings were.

I loved XCOM, does anyone know of a recent clone with decent graphics? Remembering games like Syndicate, MOO, and XCOM makes me think that computer games were better back then.

If you've never played it, you are in desperate need of Jagged Alliance 2.
