    Not enough juice?

I'm was playing around with Prime95. After a few minutes I get an error. I figure my problem is because of my old memory not taking the overclock well. So I fire up a few games. Yesterday I ran 3dmark and it ran fine at 2.92Ghz. These 2 games quit back to the desktop almost immediately. I even went back to stock 2.6Ghz AND upped the voltage from 1.525 to 1.55. No success. Yesterday I remember trying 240FSB it rebooted while loading windows. No errors... it just rebooted. My temperature is ok and my rails look about like they did on the last system. A little low, but I've always read a little low. I'm guessing my old 350W PSU is just not cutting it anymore. Does anyone else know another reason? BTW the last PSU calculator I did said I needed 396W minimum after listing the stuff I have in my system (see my sig). Also this is an older Antec with only a 15a 12 volt rail. Also I'm still running my PC3000 Hyper-X / Corsair PC3200 mix at 333. The PC3500 mushkin is not in yet.

It must be something else. While I was picking up my memory I stopped of and got an Antec True430. So far those are the only two games that have done it to me (Giants, Max Payne).

I'm at about 44C. Even with prime95 I max out at 59C. It does it automatically in those 2 games... just starting up. So I doubt it is heat. I may try another driver. I'm using the newest Omega drivers based on the 3.5's.

If the power supply was giving you problems, you're rig wouldn't spit out such minor problems. It would flat-out restart.

At least if my knowledge serves. I haven't heard of many power problems in my lifetime.

It does flat-out restart at 240FSB Anyway when I get the new heat sink I'll check the north bridge. This thing is not overclocking well. Much over 215FSB and prime95 starts giving me errors. I posted more information in the Overclocking section
