How would I go about fading from one color into another (a gradient)? How hard is it? I haven't used spray paint very much, but I am just wondering if it is easily possible. Thanks.
If you spray down a complete coat of one color, let it dry, and then partially spray the next coat on, it might work. Don't take my word for it, though.

This depends on what colours you want to use in the fading process. If you just want to use one colour and fade it from light to dark then you can do it this way:
1) - Spray a light coat of the colour over the entire area and let it dry.
2) - Mask off an area at one end of the object. So if you're using a side panel then mask of the end inch or two (you choose depending on how many layers of paint you want to use).
3) - Spray the unmasked area with another light coat of the colour and leave to dry.
4) - Repeat stages 2 and 3 masking off more and more of the panel until there's no more to mask off. When you're done you should end up with a nice fade from light to dark.
Make sure you only use light coats of paint in each stage, if you apply the coats too heavily it will ruin the look and subsequent stages of the fade won't be as effective.
