just finished MGS2, I liked it

after waiting 3 years to be able to play it, a friend lent me his ps2 for the weekend only, so i played like crazy. anyways, overall i did like the game, just the following were some points i did not like, but non theless, i would recommend it and play it again

1-. where the Colonel and Rose begin to talk about the how the Patriots control the world, what did Hideo Kojima and the other guy, smoke!!?? when they wrote the script. I thought this was The Matrix MGS style

2-. the 'love drama' between Rose and Raiden

3-. not many areas to explor, you know you can only explorer all the struts, so since the begining you know it's not going to be a big place. compared to MSG1 where you didn't know where you were going later

and maybe others,

playing 95% of the game as raiden wasn't bad, it's not snake, but the game was still cool

like i said before, even with those negative points, i still recommend it

Now that was a good game, Substance on the other hand...come on 3 hour of gameplay 9 hour of movies for 50 bucks? Pfft.

glad you liked it. now play the game on hard without the radar. that will keep you gaming for a while.

actually i played substance, isn't it not the actuall game the same as MGS2 ?



no radar, that would be fun , but first i would need a ps2

back with mgs1, i did finish it in hard

Indeed, its the same piece of crap that was MGS2.

I'm glad you liked it, but I consider MGS2 to be one of the worst games ever made.

Why is that? I played through it more than once and still like the game. It gets the player really involved in the story, unlike most games out there. Granted it's like watching a movie at times but I love watching movies.

Well, that's why Kamakazie and I don't like it. We actually want to play, not watch. Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of high points. IMO, the story was bad and they were definitely not as inspired as they used to be (MGS1 kicks).

ok lollerkittens, a short game is not a bad game

the game has great gameplay, great control, great graphics, and a hella lot of fun

a bad game doesnt have any of these things

so get over it, its not a long game when you play it on easy, maybe use a higher skill setting :retrofawk:

If the story was actually good, watching the cutscenes wouldnt have been a problem.
