    Defrag program?

    What is the best defrag program for XP? I need to get one and i want to get whats best. Thanks for the help.

    The best is Diskeeper (yes, just one 'k'), but it isn't free; however, there's a 30-day free trial . . .

    I recommend Diskeeper 7, but I'm biased. I did alpha and beta testing for Diskeeper versions 6 and 7. You can get a "lite" version of Diskeeper at www.diskeeper.com.

    IIRC a "lite" Diskeeper version 5 is part of Win2k and a "lite" Diskeeper version 6 is part of WinXP.

    I give my vote to PerfectDisk new 6 version also not free,but you can try it 30 days.

    I recommend Diskeeper 7. I use it in Windows XP and have had really good luck with it.

    The defragmenter in XP is the same as Diskeeper.

    Probably true, but you can't fully defrag with it. Diskeeper has an option to defrag just after boot so a full defrag can occur. Then run Bootvis.
