No Room for 3rd Hard Drive? (PC65-B)
Hey guys, I need your help. I have an extra hard drive I need to intall on this machine. Problem is, that my case (Lian Li PC65-B)only allows for 2 HDs, and a floppy to be installed at the same time. What do I do? Can I buy something that will allow me to convert one of my 5.25 bays to a HD bay? Let me know! I don't want to have to go without a HD.

I have been looking for it there also and I can`t find it, yet I know they use to have them. I`m not sure but I believe it is called a 51/4" rail adapter. I did find a 51/4" adapter kit that will fit a 31/2 " floppy in a 51/4" slot om mwave.com, maybe it will work with a hard drive also. Sorry I could not be more help

I know you said you already solved your problem, but in my system, I just removed the floppy drive. Floppys are out of date as bootable CDs are easily more reliable and just as easy to use. And if that isn't enough, CDRWs have sealed the coffin on floppys as there is now almost nothing a floppy drive can do that a CD can't do better.

i would do that actually. but the thing is, that my 10" red round cable won't reach, and, i don't have an extra cover for case bezel to cover up the spot the floppy took up.

But if you need to install SCSI or RAID drivers during Windows NT/2000/XP installation, you need a floppy drive or you're up a creek. The setup routine will only accept the drivers from floppy unless they're slipstreamed onto the Windows CD.
