    PCI ATA133 Adapter. HD not showing up.

    Hey boys and girls, here's a weird question. I have a Maxtor ATA133 PCI card, (for my additional HDs), but the HD doesn't show up. It's weird, at bootup, when posting, it finds the card, and the HD, but when I boot into windows, it's not finding it. This happened right after I installed SP1. Under Device Manager, the controller card shows up, but the HD doens't show up...Any suggestions?

    Update: It shows up once in a while. Why is that? I'm wondering if it's the PSU, that it can't handle anymore, but would that explain it going on and off? Could it be a bad card? I'm thinking it's not, cuz it's showing up bright as day in the Device Manager. I'm so confused! And getting irritated too...

    Did you activate it in disk manager? Control panel->administrative tools->computer manager->disk manager. Partition, format, etc. from there.

    well, it was my prevoius primary drive, so it already has XP and stuff on it. it shows up only half the time....

    it appears that i may have solved the problem. i put it on cable select, it has showed up 5/5 times i've rebooted / booted up. that's weird though, how it will only show up part of the time if it's not. any know why?
