That being said, I still would look for a configuration or software solution before assuming the card is failing. Hardware failure is much less common. One thing you might consider is a possible harware compatibility problem that exists with your current compentents that did not exist back when everything was working fine. Have you replaced any components in your system since you began experiencing this problem? Have you overclocked CPU or GPU? Might want to check BIOS to make sure everything is configured properly there.
Yeah, that's the thing that's confused me the most, I haven't changed ANY hardware. I haven't flash my mobo/video card bios, nothing like that, so I've been pretty upset that my system just randomly stopped working. Luckily I think I'm going to be getting a new video card in a few days, so I'll be able to see if it was just the video card or if it's something else.

yeah, I tried that. I also tried some of the other utilities there. I'm almost positive that it's not a driver issue though, since a clean install with different drivers (even the default ones that can with the card on the CD, dets 6.82) still didn't correct the prob. I guess my poor GeFORCE 2 MX400 is dead/dying. =*| Ah well, C'est La Vie. >=|

Hmm, alright, I got my AIW 9800 Pro the other day, Tested it in my friend's computer because I was at his house when I got it. Ran fine on his comp. I brought it home, plugged it in, comp won't post. Monitor doesn't turn on and don't hear confirmation "beep."

After switching a bunch of **** I finally got it to post, once, with half of my hardware out. So I shut down, put my stuff back in, wouldn't post again, took the stuff out, still wouldn't post.

I put the 9800 back in my friend's comp, no probs. Also, I put my old GF2MX in his comp, he didn't have any probs that I mentioned earlier (splinter cell updater and such).

So now I'm guessing that this is a mobo prob? because we've tried his psu, didn't work. Tried his ram, didn't work. So The only thing left seems to be the mobo.

Also, when I put his video card in, GF4MX, it started up fine and I got into windows, though, once I did, I had the splinter cell distortion again. So it seems that it's my Abit KT7A-Raid Mobo, though I'm not exactly sure as to why that would happen, it just seems to have randomly popped up and stopped working =/

Bummer, Dude. That actually sounds similar to a problem I had recently. Turned out to be a corrupt BIOS chip. Check ou this thread for details:
