WMP, screensaver, and montior going into power-save

    Hey guys,

When I watch something in WMP, it won't go into a screensaver after the movie's done, nor will the the monitor go into idle mode after the say, 20 minutes my computer's been idle.

When I don't use WMP, everything works fine, the whole screensaver thing, and the monitor going into power-save/idle mode. Any ideas why guys?

it's like that so that you don't have to move your mouse every so often while watching a video to disable the screensaver/power save.
If your sig is longer than your post then type more.

Yea, but there is an option to disable the screensaver/powersave mode. That way, you don't have to move the mouse...But when the movie's done, shouldn't it go into a screensaver?

Do the devices still not go into power save mode even after you close WMP? It could just be that as long as WMP is running it won't go into power save/screen saver mode. Though if you look in prefrences, I recall seeing an option to allow the screen saver to run normally, you'd have to check it out though.

yea, if i close wmp, it's fine. and you can select the allowance of the screensaver in wmp. it's annoying though, u gotta move the mouse every 15-20 minutes. bah. is there anyway it will go into powersave mode after the movie's done playing?

You could just turn WMP off after you're done playing the movie

Haha, I would, but usually I put on a movie or a few episodes of Friends before I go to bed
