    Lightning

I know it is possible to buy a lightning ball, the kind you can touch and it will come out to your finger.

Do you think I could find anyway to mod a case to be anywhere near that cool?

I don't want some kind of sticker or anything, I want glowing and lightning and . . .well if I get that then I will work on my startrek keyboard later.

Weird, I almost bought one last weekend for my comp, but it was just a little too big. Those look pretty sweet though, I wonder if you could have a flat panel one inside a case door window?

If you read the article then why would you need shielding? They both state the the glass barely leaks anything, less so then the PSU for instance.

I have one of those... But I wouldnt use it in a PC... ITs a static discharge bulb... So it would possible damage some hardware...

I know it gives off static since it can turn my touch lamp on and off... ROFL

They say that the static edmission is really, really low and wouldn't damage a thing. I feel some inspiration flowing through my ol' veins.

    Oh no. RUN!!!

I have an idea if you wanna use it. Get a cube-shaped acrylic case, and suspend the ball in the middle of the case using fishing line. Mystical

Is this what you are talking about, or are you talking about making the whole case into a globe? I've seen some how-to articles on how to make your own lightning globe, but it wouldn't be feasable to put hardware into one safely.
