What hardware have been created thanks to the IEEE ? and become standard?
There's; wireless 802.11 (?) [something like that], 1934 (firewire), ethernet [also forgot the numer exactlly], AFAIK mac address. what else?

Not directly PC Related, but ...
Mitsubishi Wide Screen HD TV's now come with firewire ports.
Eventually you'll start to see new DVD Players, VCR's, Receivers and all home entertainment electronics be firewire enabled. I understand some of these devices already have it, but I haven't seen them yet. Each unit will be daisy chained to the next with a single firewire cable instead of the tangled mass of coax and composite cables we currently enjoy.
I'm sure that it won't be long until all these devices can interface directly with your PC thru the firewire ports.

you can actually search for stuff without being a member, you just cant look it up by number...you have to do it by keyword.
