How strong is the correlation between how long it takes to build a computer and how well it'll perform in 3dmark2kX?
tbird, do your thing man, break the record.
As for the HD for a buck... hey, it's not a bad priced paper weight

Replacing a board is very fast, and easy. Shoot, the cables are ALREADY plugged in . Therefore, they will plug back in the way they were. And it's only like 15 screws max (depending on how many IO cards you posess).
But I would agree, it's a pain at times... but it's hardly a "two hour project" .

Since they have an Antec Sonata, why no Antec Concerto . I'd be glad to buy it

A good use of a dead hard-drive is to open the casing (and reveal the disk) and then nail it to the wall, my friend has his one up on his wall and it never fails to draw people's attention, most of them haven't seen what a hard-drive actually looks like!

I have the 2nd fastest 1GHz cpu and ti4200 combo, only Mr. Ice eats me and he has 200fsb, dual channel, a super fast ti4200 and the nf2. he is at about 10.2k I think I can beat him with my new ti4200
Im also gonna try my tbird in and see later.
I shall edit this post, time to go for 190x5=950MHz now. keep in mind ill try this on both my tbred and tbird so I can set records both ways, hehehe. ill edit this post with updates. you guys said I can not break 10k on 1GHz, well I did it. Ill also break 12k on a tbird and ti4200, or at least try
9246 is the current record for 950MHz and under while doing a search.
8609 is a 900MHz duron record(ill break 9k anyway, wish I had a duron however)
7567 for 850MHz duron(no athlons got that)
7183 for 807MHz athlon tbird

Baldy..........I am waiting to recieve my video cards, I should recieve more than one later today, plus I want to stick in my old tbird and pally and break a whole bunch of 3dmark records, after that the slk-800u goes in and I wont be swapping cpus again. also I spent hours loading windows and the essentals to the new hdd I have now. In the meantime, I did a quick run, see my sig.......13631 so far not bad for 2.09GHz and a crappy 280/560 ti4200
