    Question Enable Remote Desktop - On a Windows 2000 Pro Machine?

    Hi guys.

    Is this possible? I thought it was, yet i cant find the option to enable it?

    (i need to enable me to remote desktop into a win 2k pro machine)

    Windows 2000 Professional doesn't have the remote desktop host built-in like Windows XP does. If you want to control a Windows 2000 machine remotely, you can use something like VNC (which is a free download) or Symantec pcAnywhere.

    LOL that could well by why i cant find it then

    but its only xp pro thats let you remote into it though home dont
    Web Server: Linux Red Hat 9 Server
    Gameserver: Windows Server 2003
    Workstation 1: Windows XP Home
    Workstation 2: Widows XP Home

    Netmeeting comes standard with windows...but VNC is awesome. Go to http://www.realvnc.com. It has this really cool server option called Java Viewer...enable this feature and you can connect to youre desktop from any java-enabled browser, just connect to port 5800 on your computer and you get the authentication screen, put in your password and there you go.

    Cheers guys, that was indeed what i have used instead... Didn't realise you could connect from browsers, that could be interesting.
