    Rise of Nations quirks

Anyone playing multiplayer Rise of Nations ever encounter one of the following?:

    - total loss of game messages and chats (although things happen that should generate info messages you see nada, including your own chat messages - i think this is preceeded by an 'almost timeout')

    - even though you are assimilating an enemies capital all of a sudden your ally gets all that nations cities (except the capital)

never had either of those happen maybe you should jsut do a fresh install.

I have had the ingame sound go out, but the intro movies have sound. It is a problem with the Sound drives, ADMC i think, just reinstall them if you have this happen and it fixes it.

I'm assuming you've installed the latest patch? I've only played mine over my LAN... but I've never had any of the problems you all are talking about (except the crashing to desktop... It was the only game that crashed due to my turning the timing on my 3500 RAM down...).

Yeah, it looks like the new patch is in beta still, no word on when it will be released. Hopefully in the next week or so.

I love this game though. If I could just get myself to use the damn hotkeys I'd be dangerous....
