    ATI Brightness Settings for Games??...

hey, I have a monitor that by default is pretty dark (trying to get a new monitor, but I'm a little short on cash), so I usually have to max out the gamma/brightness in game. But in some games, it doesn't raise it enough. Example: Return To Castle Wolfenstein and Raven Shield.

In the ATI Properties, I've raised the desktop to a decent level and raised the "3d applications" to a high level, but the prob is that the 3d setting only takes effect in certain games, such as GTA3. In other games, the gamma settings are nonexistent. Is there a way to force ALL games to use the ATI brightness settings? Or is there an App that I can use to raise the gamma/brightness? Thanks!

I believe PowerStrip correctly controls the gamma settings. Although, you'll have to pay for that program or use it in demo mode.

Another program that might have some gamma settings is Rage3D Tweak.

cool, thanks. If PowerStrip actually corrects the gamma in all my games, it shall be worthy of purchase. I'll test rage3d tweak too

update: ahhhh, PowerStrip is awesome, custom profiles for each game, it's great, thanks again man!

I had some problems with Powerstrp and 9800. So if you start getting random issues, like AA disabling mid game, VSync not working, etc. (just strange things) That it could be Powerstrip. I don't know if it was just the way I had it setup, or something with my configuration, but Powerstrip did not agree with my rig

    =0

I'll keep my eye out for that. Though, with most of my games I have AA disabled by defaults. Ah well, so far so good
