BF1942 has a config setting where you change to allow refresh rates other than 60Hz, that way you can still use a 3rd party refresh rate application and play the game at say, 100Hz.
yeah, that was my first thought, so I looked around the dir but I didn't find any configs that contained that. I think it was stored in some kind of archive, because I believe the only config file that was able to be edited was for the controls.

Plus, when I consulted the main site, their "solution" was to uninstall any 3rd party refresh rate controllers. =/

just wanted to put in my 2cents.

I myself use a program called refreshlock.

    Never failed on me yet.

Just make sure you follow the instructions on how to install it properly and heed all warnings.

Has anyone actually looked in the settings in the ati control panel? If you go to the ati control panel go to the displays tab and click the monitor you can override the refresh rates right there. No need for any 3rd party app. Works for me.

Refresh lock / Refesh Force....same thing form the same site. And RageTweak ownz it.

Refresh lock does not work in ALL games whereas I have not found a game out there that RageTweak didn't handle.

One other comment - I've found that when not overclocking its best to have vsync ON to avoid tearing. At the very least it will improve the "choppiness" at even 60hz.
