Question I did the v mod to the ti500 but no oc increase?

My dad is better at soldiering so he did it. pin 20 looks to be soldiered firmly, but pin 18 only seems to be touching but the solder isnt holding it, dont think so anyway. Must it be soldered securly or is physical contact enough? I did not gain 1MHz oc, leading me to believe either a v mod doesnt work or the core is maxed out. 265MHz sucks too

Do a search on Google. Sounds like you didn't increase it at all.

Did you change the cooling on the video card? You cannot do a vmod without a better cooling solution!

    Well, it is highly recommended

    Cool all wires need

solid contact, just laying it on the surface is not enough.

the pin connect has to be solid just like the other one.

use flux and a 15 watt low temp soldering iron, fine or extra fine tip, and the low temp thin solder wire.

even with my bad eyesight, i have pulled this off numerous times with great success.
