Best software to restrict adult sites?

What is the best software to block the adult sites? I know that Norton internet security does that but i dont want a firewall.

    How about will power

But seriously, try webwasher classic or something like netnanny, though I have never used the latter.

Webwasher classic works pretty good. Also, your ISP might have a filtering thing on there end. I know a couple of my local ISP's do.

well no matter what the system is there is a way to get around it...i mean i dont have one...but my friend does, and we dont get around it for porn but get around it due to the fact it doesnt like cussing on any instant message program ect. and we found a way around netnanny cyber citter(sp) you name it we could probly get around it. the best way would be to if you had 2 computers is setup another server type computer or proxy however you look at it. and have all the internet connections going through it, and then have them filter through that and make it so you can only access it then you controle the sites. problem solved. but i mean thats a little work. and if you have someone who isnt thinking to get around them then you should have no problem with the programs.

Well , i am going to install the program to the computer in doctors room in hospital . They dont have enough knowladge to get around and bypass the software; I know it can be bypassed somehow , even if i install a second computer to filter the sites , still there are ways to get around.

Hehe, if it's at my hospital you better be pretty good at blocking.

Your best bet it to put a little sign up that all web logins are monitored and inappropriate accesses will be reported to the state medical board -- doctors are always concerned about that! Only a few will know that that is BS.

    Smile

All web logins are being monitored already . And dean of the faculty had already sent warning to all parts of the faculty . but it seems some doctors dont care... ( they think they cant find out who really did that )
Best way to stop that,is using a software blocker.

Try something simple first -- in IE go to Tools\Internet Options\Content Tab. Click enable, under General create a password, then under Rating set each of the four content controls to where you think appropriate. That will keep all but the savvy at bay, and it will only take you a minute to do.

I tried the internet explorer content adviser , but i really works very unefficiently. It asks the password for every site , that doesnt have rating . and it seems most sites doesnt have rating.
