ATI Radeon 9800 Pro TV-Out Resolution
I have an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9800 Pro, but I'm assuming this part would apply to the Radeon 9800 pro as well.
hey, I finally got around to setting up all the little extras on my card. The Remote control unit works, tv tuner works, but the TV-Out is messed up. With my old card (GF2MX), I would just select the output device and it would give me the option of 800x600 or 640x480 for the TV.
Now for some reason, my TV is outputting by default to 512x384x60Hz, except my desktop is still set to 1024x768. So I move the mouse around and it moves the screen on the TV.
If I do the single display only, the monitor turns off and the TV is still at 512x384 with a 1024x768 desktop size.
I've tried S-Video input as well as RCA input, both produce the same result, 512x384 tv res with 1024x768 desktop.
I want to change it to at least 640x480. In the ATI control panel, it says that my TV's MAX resolution is 720x480, so I would assume that I could at least get 640x480.
So basically, I want to know how to change the res, so my TV res matches my desktop size.
This is my TV:
25" Philips
I'm using Windows XP and the Catalyst 3.6 Drivers. The rest of my specs are in my profile.
Thanks!

In a different thread, Un4given gave out a link, and in that link was the solution to your problem, here it is:
To navigate the large desktop, move your mouse to the edge of the screen. The display should pan across the desktop in the direction you move the mouse.
To avoid this effect:
Open Display Properties (from Control Panel)
Select the Settings tab
Reduce the "screen area" to the maximum TV OUT resolution of the card or less
Peace.

hmm, I don't have that "screen area" option on XP. Ah well, regardless, thanks. I fully shut down my comp and a few hours later it was working at 1024x768, odd...
