Wonder if i just set a new record. Not the one i was hoping for but a record is a record
New one is comming in tuesday.
One thing that was good about it was the Vcore was about 0.5v over the setting. ie: if i set it to 1.85v it would read 1.9v. hope the new one is like that too.
On the other hand the temp was very inaccurate. It would show 26C at idle in the ASUS board but back in my KT266 its sitting on 34C with the same room temp and everything. Is there sime kind of CPU throttling going on or is it just bad calibration?
Someone sugested a different program than ASUS Probe but i dont get it. Prope just reports temps from the bios right? And they're also low.
Q6600 (GO), Zalman CNPS 9700, Gigabyte P35-DS3P, 4G Kingston 6400 C5, Leadtek PX 8800 GT ZL (650/1800)
2x WD 500GB SATA, ASUS + Pioneer DVRW, Antec Sonata lll case, Samsung 226BW 22"LCD, Logitech X540 7.1 speakers, Logitech G5 mouse
3GHz(9x333), stock Vcore, stock cooler
3.2GHz(8x400), +0.050vcore (gaming, 24/7)
3.6GHz(9x400), +0.150vcore (3DMark01 60769)
3.8GHz(9x422), 1.5v min(set) (3d01 62926, 3d03 42285, Crysis High 1680x1050 34fps) Ouch! She’s hot!

Yeah in bios if you set it to 1.85v it also reads 1.9v for me in probe. When I'm running stock settings I get 39C CPU at idle in probe.. and 35C for the mobo. so maybe you just got a semi-jacked up board.
