You can make a killing alright. You'd prolly make enough for a Prescott and a 512mb PCI Express vid card (ATI 10800?!!)! You won't see this kind of ACTION playing the stock market, that's for sure!

    T-Bird

Finally bought some good RAM I see. Uh, now can we stop with this crap about NF2 boards? I mean its not like my 8RDA+ and PC2100 RAM could be going at 215FSB on 2.77v rock solid. I would enhoy seeing you KT400 do this.
If my hardware can handle high agp/pci speeds and so can my ram, I dont see why 215+ will happen
Did you actually just say that? On AIM, all you could say about HyperX and Buffalo Tech was that it is extremely rare for the RAM to even hit its rated speed! Now you're gonna do 215FSB?
Anyway, good luck with the overclock and 3DMark quest.
Tbird.... you willing to to step into a TI4200 challenge with me? My card of choice will be an MSI Geforce4 TI4200... and a 128mb one too . let me know. If highest 3DMark is your game, then I would like to join in on the fun... and just to play it fair, I'll refrain from using my Intel rig, and only use my AMD. Since according to you, you "eat" (tm) bartons, heh.
Dude...you'd be famous! Hell, if he beat you T-Bird, he'd almost be as good as Macci, right? Front page of the New York Times as well!

btw, tbird has a faster cpu and vid card clocked higher than ignitionator yet he still couldn't beat him... and ignitionator is using a 128mb too...

    Cool your kt400

    and 215 FSB...............

    everyone can have dreams.............

seriously, it ain't gonna happen unless you mod the heck out of your M/B, and even then.......................

you may have contacts that have had a bad experience with the Abits or other NForce M/B's, but you should put them aside.

i mean, you are willing to shell $$$ for lots of vid cards, get an NF7 fer cryin out loud, if it doesn't meet yer specs, well, all i can say is you are Mr Ebay, right?????

i have had one NF7 just up and stop working one morning, but the RMA replacement is doing nicely and i have another one just sitting here, waiting for another build. ALL companies have problems with components, even Epox.

the only drawback to the whole ABIT thing is the Sata, the interfaces are crap. i have to wiggle the plugin to the raided hard drives about once a month, seems the pins are not contacting as tightly as they should and once and awhile one drive isn't recognized, then bam, into winders.

that isn't an ABIT problem, but a problem with the Sata connectors (made by a different manu).

all i can say is that you are trying real hard, but that kt400 board is not going to go where you want to. take what little reality still exists in your brain and just get the NF7 (i say this cause it has all the options). i read posts all over the BBS's regarding ASUS, and others, people having problems, having to do mods, all in an effort to match the Abit's performance.

so, the way i see it, you can continue down this path you have choosen and maybe eek out another click or two FSB wise with your new ram, still have an unstable 2.47+ overclock, or take a chance and go Abit, smooth sailing will follow, i can guarantee.

but, hey, who am i to speak about this, i don't know nothing and my sig is a total lie, not!!!!!!!!!!!!

    whatever.

    clock on.

In a way, I hope you guys realize that lostchild's put himslf in a no-win situation. If he wins, it's 'so what'? Tbird would have some reason or another - crappy memory, whatever. If LC loses........??!!!

I would like to see T-Bird get a 215fsb on a KT400, IMO that would be a bigger feat then breaking 15K, well anyway good luck on both your goals T-Bird.

i can't believe that. Mr. TBirdy has done more to pi$$ people than anyone has done with their replies to him, and he is mercifly slow at taking advise from hundreds..................

he has gotten better since returning. he has dreams, as we all do.

he just lives in another world.

If you check with him, I think you'll find that I have NEVER flamed him or belittle him. (Really don't know THAT much about computers to critique others ) I think this is an opportune moment for him to put his figurative money where his mouth is. This should be his playing field as he's really an advocate of the Ti4200 (an excellent card I might add). Besides, I think it would be interesting for everyone to have a fun 'pissing' contest such as this. haven't you noticed, there seems to be more posts today 'cause of the contest.
