MSN Messenger (ew) audio problems
For some reason, while using MSNM 6 I can use my webcam just fine, but when it comes to audio I cant seem to connect to the other party.
Now I've had a look here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...oy/worki01.asp
But I couldn't really figure out where to start.
Yes I am behind a router, and no I havent toyed with opening various ports (not in these Blaster days thanks).
Surely someone else have experienced this before?

I'm having the same problem. I'm not sure what ports to forward. Do you know which ones they are?

I too have the same problem. Why would video work but not sound?

Not figured out anything as yet. I guess this just shows that not many people actually use this feature, which is strange. If it worked, it would be a great alternative to video-phone systems..

According to the article you posted -
The actual Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) streams are sent using dynamically allocated UDP ports in the range of 5004 – 65535. Without a way to open these UDP ports on any firewall in the path dynamically, the streams will fail to reach their destination.
You need to open and forward those ports to your PC or put your PC in the DMZ to test the solution.
Also review the section Working With Different NAT Device Configurations.
I don't use any messaging software so I can't be of further help.
