    p4p800 temperature sensor

After booting my PC and it runs for about 15 seconds, the motherboard temperature sensor on my P4P800 reads 125C. Of course this sets off alarms galor in both MBM and the ASUS Probe. It just started doing this and I've only had the board a little over a week.

I backed off all the OC'ing and still does it.

    Any ideas?

I'm thinking you set your MBM5 sensors wrong. After I did this, every temp monitor I had reverted to the ones I set in MBM5 and I got a temp of 124C or something. Make sure you have the right probes set in MBM5.

ASUS Probe does the same thing and I can't program what it looks at. That makes me believe it's the sensor. Hmmm... I'll check MBM settings again anyhow.

Does anyone using this board have there MBM configured?
Motherboard sensor - WinBond 1 Diode
CPU sensor - WinBond 2 Diode

Ok this is how it should be configured:

Sensor 1 Winbond Diode 2 (CPU)
    Sensor 2 Winbond 1 (MB)

Also note that MBM5 and ASUS Probe are deadly enemies -- they don't play well together! Use one or the other . . .

Changing MBM and making sure I don't run both that and ASUS Probe at the same time fixed my problem. I was using those settings at the start, and must have mucked them up trying to fix it.

    Thanks for help.
