In my over-exuberance to build a cheap fast machine for folding, I bought a refurbished A7N8X Deluxe from newegg. I didnt' realize I wouldn't get the backplate or screw package! Any ideas where I can get these (primarily the backplate)?

I believe if you get in contact with ASUS they will send you a back plate, as far as a screw set, I have never got screws with a MB, they come with your case.

    Thanks. I'll contact ASUS.

I swear I got screws with my P4P800, but you're probably right and the baggy came with the Sonata case.

I ordered the same part and was a bit surprised that it was shipped with literally nothing but the board. Other refurbished parts I've ordered at least came with some of the original retail accessories. I was expecting the backplate if nothing else. No such luck, though.

I emailed ASUS support, though I don't even remember what the address was. If I don't hear back by mid-week I'll try the RMA address. Thanks for posting it, meat322.

    RMA????

Does that mean you need to send the whole board back just for the cover plate?

Does that board have a special arrangement? I noticed that some boards will fit stock backplates.. Some even have extra breakaway features...

It's still a good deal for $69, though.

Colossus, the port configuration on the A7N8X is a little unusual. I know none of my backplates would fit. Although I suppose I could make one as a last resort.

the board does have a special arrangement, and no you dont have to send the whole board back. I just sent them an email stating where i bought it and what it came with (nothing) and stated all i needed was the i/o plate and the sent it with no questions took about 2 weeks to get it
