    Port for Windows Update

    I think my firewall is blocking the Windows Update Application..

    anyone know the port that it uses so i can open it?
    bitfenix prodigy, i5 4670k, asrock z87e-itx, zotac gtx 970, crucial m500 msata, seasonic x650, dell st2220t

    AFAIK It does not use a specific port because you initiate the update from whatever port your browser chooses to port 80 on the MS end. In other words it is an outgoing connection, not an incoming one.
