I would personally be surprised if the BIOS could detect it. It's likely that your Packard Bell laptop's motherboard BIOS was created before the K6-2+ was created (Which was created around the time of the Slot A Thunderbird). You'll also need the correct voltage support for a K6-2+, since those need less potential difference to operate.
