CompUSA & Best Buy have ETA's of 11/01 to about 11/15, which is why I asked if anyone had heard of any confirmation of the rumors that the game was delayed by 30-45 days.

from what I have heard on various other hl2 forums. According to Gabe Newell and the marketing guy(Lombardi i think it is). The release date is unchanged. According to Valve they never said it was changed however Vivendi said that it had slipped.
just some confusion it seems. I guess we will just have to wait for the final word from Valve. Hopefully it will be going gold here soon.

Thanks for the tips guys. I ended up uninstalling the last Omegas and then cleaning out the most obvious entrys. I installed the new Omegas and they work like a charm. Fixed a texture problem I was having with the Rally Sport demo. Alas the Star Trek Elite Forces 2 demo still crashes after 4 minutes of play, although the demo states that one should ignore any problems in the demo as the final version should be pretty much bug free. I might try downloading the driver cleaner program and reinstalling the new Omegas.

Gee, I just install the new cats over the old ones - I don't seem to have any problems.
When I changed to 9800 Pro from a Ti4400 I formatted, though.
