    Angry Gotta Love EA

So how does one play on a server that has all 3 sets of maps in rotation?????

God Damn Safe disk **** wont let you play without the disk in, mmmm ok well most systems only have 2 cd/dvd drives so what the hell EA?

    thier responce

    Response (Box Micheal S.) - 09/09/2003 04:40 PM
Right now, we are still ironing out compatibility between BF1942, RTR and Secret
Weapons. We will try to have something on our website regarding this as soon as
our developers come up with something.

    Much apologies.

great forsight, great planning, so now i cant play all 3 online UNLESS I go and no-cd the game which violates the end user contract just ****ing awsome!

my NEXT gripe is xbox NCAA and Madden 04 you cant export draft classes???? What the hell, a bug wont let you export your draft class without madden saying its corrupt, EA's responce to this one

"We will let you return the bad maddens and get a new one once its figured out"

great so I get to ship my game and be without it for 2 weeks or so, if thier speedy.

Ea has been dropping the ball a whole lot more lately they better pull thier shti together before they mess with any of my beloved blizzard

yeah I don't get it either...requireing the cd to be in the drive for all three games is pretty stupid...especally when they are supposed to be all intergrated with each other...you should just be able to have one of the three cd's in and it works...or better yet...just disable the cd support because it's the cd key that stops most people...

dice isnt the brightest bunch of developers out there

and sd2 is rather lol these days, i am not sure about the new xp, but the old one auths just fine, even with bin/cue (and those utilize almost no fancy datastream copying)

Just use the nocd and be done with it. You HAVE the legit game anyway. Stick it to EA. (I've got a friend who works there.)

That's pretty crappy. Seems the people who support the companies and buy games get screwed over more than the people who just pirate them instead. Seems quite half assed if you ask me.

Is it legal to get around this by using a virtual drive?

I would think not, since you would have to have an image on your computer, which is illegal isnt it? I'm not really sure, as there seems to be a fine line between illegal and legal with this kind of crap. In all honesty though who gives a crap Do you really think these companies are going to come after legit customers who decide that CD-Protection is useless? Aren't CDkeys enough?

I'm pretty sure that's fine. That's basicaly the equivalent of making a backup copy.
