Cd-drive unplugged?
I just installed a new power supply. I took my old one out and put my new Antec one in. I hooked everything up. When I turned on my computer and put in a cd, in My Computer my cd-drive isn't listed. Also when I put in the cd it doesn't autoplay probably because it doesn't recognize my drive. Could my IDE cable jiggled loose from either the motherboard or the drive itself when I was installing the new power supply? I think when the computer boots up it says it detects it but it doesn't. So any help would be nice. Thanks!

Yup, something probably came loose -- simply changing out a PSU shouldn't effect the BIOS or OS. I guess it is possible the particular plug from the PSU to the CD is bad, but you did say it powered up. Check the cable at both end (and the middle, if used) and try a different PSU plug.

Thnks. I don't think it's the power plug. It opens and closes. It just doesn't boot up a cd. I think it's the IDE cable (unless that's the cable your talking about). If you have any more suggestions let me know. Thnks.

Id say its the ide cable... or if u ran ur computer on low power coulda caused the problem too cuz lots of pppl have probs like this when they change psu's! good luck with your prob...

It has to be the ide cable. There are two main cables going to your cd drive, the flat, wide ribbon cable which is the IDE cable, and the molex power plug that goes to your power supply. If your drive opens and closes its definitely getting power so thats not the problem. It has to be the IDE cable. Check it at the cd drive end, and also where it connects to your motherboard.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'll check all the connections and post back my answers. Thanks again.
EDIT: Yeah it was loose. Thanks for the help, even though I probably could have solved that one!
