Network - problems seeing other computer.

Right, I'm a n00b at networking. So i've got my PC networked to my laptop through a simple crossover cable. The laptop can access the PC shared files, but PC cant seem to see laptop shared files. Both are running XP Home. When looking under network places on the laptop i can see "my documents and shared documnets" for the laptop and the same for the PC, but when I goto network places on the PC I cant see anything. I have sygate firewall on both machines with the same settings on full network access. What is my problem?

EDIT - ICS works aswell, so is there a setting of some sort i need change?

    regards.
