    strange cdrw problem

My cdrw drive suddenly cant burn cds anymore. I haven't burnt anything in a rather long time, and now I wanted to burn some stuff for my poor 56k'ed friend. When I had selected all the files, it told me that the drive is already in use by another program, even though I have nothing else running. This hasn't happened before. I am using Nero6 (new upgrade)

nevermind, I updated nero to 6.0.0.15, got the anti-we-suck-fix (both nero 5 and 6 were bad products when used right out of the box), and tried again.

    Problem fixed.

Mods, do whatever you want with this thread.

You are not alone. Lot's of people have been experiencing problems with Nero lately. The latest releases of both Nero 5 and Nero 6 have been pure crap.

Rich, it depends on which version of Nero you are using and even then not all are affected. The newer versions 5.5.10.42 and 5.5.10.50 seems to be mostly affected along with the newer versions of Nero 6. The problems described in the links below is being echoed all over the Internet, especially in CR-RW related formums. Previous versions such as 5.5.10.28 does not seem to be affected.

Just another perspective from N.B. the Administrator of CDR Recording Software.

Quite strange, I was always asking myself when Nero would reach the level of EasyCDCrasher, and I have to say, Ahead is getting there quite fast
I just wonder when the "I installed Nero and now I only have Blue Screens"-post apears on cdrbase.com ...
Anyhow ... seems like Ahead meesed something up with the compilation of CDs, even if the compilation would fit onto a blank, it seems like Nero (recent versions) refuses to write the compilation with the error message: not enough space ?!?!
    Quite funny ..

Seen postings floating around on CDRBase, CDFReaks, and on CDRInfo ...
There is no update, yet ...
They only way to fix this immediatley would be a downgrade ...
Or we just wait till Ahead fixes the bug ... and hopefully doesn´t introduce new ones ...
