outlook problems
every once in a while i get this problem:
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: ' [email protected]', Server: 'mail.bromidic.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR You have exceeded the number of connections you are permitted to make per hour. Please wait a couple of minutes and try again.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
it only happens sometimes, and when it does happen i just push cancel, or close or whatever, and it stays in outlook, then outlook will work normal after leaving it open. what is the problem and what can i do to fix it?

From the error message, '-ERR You have exceeded the number of connections you are permitted to make per hour. Please wait a couple of minutes and try again.' it appears that you are checking your mail too often.

i dont think this is the case, because i will have outlook closed for a day and sometimes(not always) i get that message. i do have the check for new messages set to one minutes- do you think that is the problem? even though my email at work is set to a minute without any problems

The error message is from the mail server. If your work PC and your home PC are trying to check the same account, you may be hitting the server for 120 connects per hour, otherwise it is 60 connects per hour from your home PC. Try setting the mail checking frequency back to once every 2 minutes.
