    Locked out of Win2K Pro

I built a system for a friend a while back with 2K on it and set it up with no password and auto logon etc. They brought it over the other day for me to look at because it now is asking for a logon password and they are locked out. Obviously they claim they didn't do anything to cause this but since nobody entered a password to begin with, we don't know what password it is looking for. Is there any way around this log in password or will I just have to reformat? Thanks in advance.....

Check out the Offline NT Password editor link in my signature. You did try "administrator" with a blank password right??

Thanks a million guys, thought I was gonna have to reinstall the OS. BTW I did indeed try Admin with no password, but to no avail. I am curious though how it got locked to begin with. The people who own this computer are barely pc literate and swear they didn't change a thing. Strange. Thanks again for the help.
