Will an SK6 be fine for a XP 1700+?
I gots me a Palomino [email protected] ghz, and my friend if offering me his SK6 without a fan. If I find an ice fan that blows around 35-40 CFM and stick it on the HSF, will it give me decent temps (40 and lower) for the CPU?

Not Wurm
it will be fine...although you should be warned that the SK-6 only does 60mm fans. So something around 40CFM will be quite noisy. Mid to low 30's should be fine.
SVC's 60x25 fans
I would recommend the 32/40 Fan for the best combination of push and quiet.

Great White Shark
I recomend this. Just mount an 80mm at a 45 degree angle. It should give decent temps, and be much quieter.

Got a funnel 60 to 80 adapter at comp usa for 5 bucks lol. It's gonna be a biznatch to try and screw it on the HSF, but i suppose it would be possible to force the screws in since the screws are rather thin, and the fins are not that wide spread. Now all that is left is to take that variable speed fan i have in my case and put it on. But that I shall do tomorrow once I get a replacement fan for the case from the local comp store.
