    Question Samsung LCD??

Hi, I am currently looking into these two 17" LCDs, 172T & 173T.
They have exactly the same specs, except that the 173T is 700:1 contrast, while the 172T is only 500:1. I mean.....is there a big difference between the contrast rate (only by 200)?? Personally, I think the 172T looks better becoz its base stand is bigger. But, performance-wise, what do you guys think?? Which one should I go for it?
Oh and by da way, 173T is cheaper than 172T, by about $75 dollars. =)

From what Ive heard, you dont want anything less than 600:1 for Gaming.

I purchased a 172T 2 months ago and I love it! Great display with great colors. However, be very wary of the listed contrast ratios. The numbers can be deceiving! I think it was over at tomshardware that they tested the actual contrast ratio of lcd's and let me tell you, some numbers were way off. However, the 172T's ratio was higher than advertised. The best way to see if there is a difference would be a visual comparison.

Yeah I know, but the 172X is only 0.294mm for its Pixel pitch, and for LCD is better to have a 0.26mm pixel pitch.
