    Unhappy Somethings up...help guys!

Ok, I restart my computer, thinking, oh yay, time to try to overclock. I enter the BIOS, and drop the multiplier to 7 and raise the FSB on the start of my long journey. I exit the BIOS, saving my settings. THe computer powers off, powers back up, and then teh moniter powers off... ...I restart, same thing happens, the moniter will not power on. I power off teh power supply, power back on, smae thing. Nothing is working, so I switch the CMOS, and power back on, same thing. MY computers fans are all spinning and the motherboard light is on, but the power and hdd LEDS are showing no activity. Any thoughts on what could be wrong

I think that you might have screwed up your BIOS.
Try re-setting the CMOS again using the motherboard jumper. Id that won't work then we have a problem.

First turn off all power to your computer, hold down on your insert key, then power it up again, this should reset your cpu to default and allow you to get back in bio`s, if not and clearing cmos don`t work you might need a new bio`s chip.

Well, I reset my CMOS (I didn't have it in the right position before ) but still nothing. Powers up, acts normally, and the moniter won't turn on. I'm going to try my other moniter, just to see if it is that.

Did you try the insert key thing, I posted. Sometimes it will bring it back to life, if cmos don`t work.

Gah, what an idiot I am All is well, I'm going home now. But, when it wouldn't power on in the first place, do you think that's because I set my multi too low? I guess I should only drop it to around 10 or so Thanx everybody Who needs Dell support when you got Sharkys?

I don`t know if that was it or not, I have found if you don`t change too many settings in bio`s, use the exit and save function and don`t reset too many times in a short period of time. You should not have too much trouble. Edit to add, IMO, I think that if you go to far out of the peramitors(sp) set by Nvidia on the chipset, then you start to have problems.
