Sharp Mobilon HC-4600 and Wirless PCMCIA NIC
Does anyone have any information regarding what kind of a wireless network card would work with this type of a HandheldPC? The HPC has a Type II PCMCIA slot in it for networking, and runs Windows CE 2.0
I checked Linksys's website, but they have nothing there regarding it.

well logically you would first look to see what Sharp would provide you.
however since it has a PCMCIA slot, you could probably get any® card to work with it, given the drivers.

Sharp dicontinued that HPC before Wireless was available for commercial use. I've searched on Linksys's site for Windows CE support, but got nothing

Well I am not buying anything right now, I've just decided to go with the most known networking company assuming they'd have something I can use.

well you may be SOL...if Sharp killed the project before Wireless was developed. Then you have nothing.
The best you can do is run to best buy buy a card throw it in, see if it loads. If it doesn't then you know.

I would if they did not charge 15% restocking fee

they don't charge you a restock fee if the hardware was "broken"

Okay...so maybe "broken" is harsh...but if it had some sort of Malfunction that you didnt know about until after you tried to install it.
I dont think they would charge you a restock...because they wouldnt want to waste the time to test it.

On a different note - does anyone have any idea about OS upgradability of the HC-4600? I suppose Win CE 3.0 is a no no for this since it needs an ARM proc, and this one has only a MIPC RISC 64 BIT 80 mhz one... But what about CE 2.11? Does it need a new chip, or can it be flashed?
