6 years to 5,000!
Well, I think it's safe to say that...
HL 2 will come out this month.
Reading the HardOCP Radeon 9800XT review, it said that the cards would be out in October.
So if HL2 is coming bundled with these cards, then I would assume it's going to come out in the next few weeks.

Awesome.
The cards are coming bundled with a coupon to get the game for free, it is not coming out this month.

I just hope it doesn't turn into a fiasco like trying to get some rebates.

Some reviews say it will be a single-player only HL2. That would blow if they left out the multi in this combo deal.

maybe some later bundles will maybe have the full version of the game

They say it will come with a FULL version of HL2 (coupon only) but don't give details if that includes MP.
"Half Life 2 will be shipping IN THE BOX (This has now officially changed to COUPON IN THE BOX - 10/01/03 - Kyle) with the 9800XT AND the 9600XT. This is the full retail version, no demo, no shareware, this is the retail version of the game. This is big news folks, especially on the 9600XT. At $199 that is a very appealing offer for many."

To hell with that! Just get a 9800 Pro, put a Zalman heatpipe on it, and get a high cfm fan to blow across it.

You don't even need that to do it. All you need to do is just turn up the mhz a bit, right now I have my video card running faster then the XT anyways, so I guess I should sell this thing for $500?
